二ヶ月に及ぶ夏休みが終わり、今日（9月9日）、待望の二学期が始まりました。礼拝では、ヨハネ7:40-52より、イエスを取り巻くユダヤ人たちがイエスをどのように理解するかをめぐって分裂が生じたことについて解説されました。イエスが行われた数々の奇跡はイエスが神であることを示すしるしだったが、奇跡を見た人々が皆、そのように理解したわけではありませんでした。人は先入観があるので、イエスを正しく理解するのは難しいことなのですね。
クラスでは、受講生のｋさんから「1Q84」へのコメントが届けられたので、紹介されました。ｋさんらしいとても興味深いものでした。KさんやTさんからの質問に、中澤先生が答えてくださったものを、このホーム頁にも紹介させていただきました。村上春樹【１Q84を読んで】のニュースレターをご覧ください。続いて、最新号の「ものみの塔誌」11月1日号が取り上げられ、ものみの塔組織が強調している「6つのキリスト教の間違い（霊魂は不滅である、不信者は地獄で永遠に苦しむ、信仰者は皆天に行く、神は三位一体である、マリヤは神の母である、神は絵や像を用いて崇拝することを許している）について解説されました。中澤先生は、「ものみの塔とキリスト教のどちらの教えが正しいか、という問題設定は止めたほうがよい。」まず、自分たちが教えられ、思い込んできた考えを捨て、そのテーマについて聖書がどのように教えているかを虚心坦懐になって聞き取ることが大切である。そういう態度をもち続けるなら、エホバの証人との対話が可能になり、聖書の真理を読み取ることができるようになる、と講義されました。
そのほか、M兄が横浜の開港当時のレポートや、今夏の地域大会の様子が参加者によって紹介されました。
今日は、現役のエホバの証人やエホバの証人二世、さらに初めてのご家族の方も出席され、にぎやかなクラスでした。その交わりは、クラス終了後も、お隣の喫茶店で続いたようです。
