今日は秋晴れのすばらしい一日でした。
礼拝では、使徒の働き3章11-26節より、ペテロがソロモンの回廊で語った説教について中澤啓介先生より学びました。これは、ペンテコステに次ぐ、二番目の説教です。ペテロがこの説教で話したことは四つあります。一つ目は、病人を癒したのは使徒たちではなくイエスであったこと。二つ目は、そのイエスを十字架につけて殺したのは、他でもない自分自身だったこと。三つ目は、そのイエスはよみがえって天の王座に就き、万物の回復まで統治し続けている。そして四番目は、邪悪な生活を改め神に立ち帰らねばならない、ということだった。これは、初代キリスト教の中で明らかにされた伝道説教の典型的なものである。福音とは何かが、きわめて明確に示されている説教である、と話されました。
続く午前のクラスでは、イエスはある時は奇跡を隠され、あるときは奇跡を顕示されている。どうしてこうも違うのかという質問が出されました。それに対し、聖書は時代の流れの中で起こった出来事を淡々と記している。従って、個々の文脈をよく考え、自分なりにさまざまな推測を重ねて、謙虚な心で読むことがとても重要である。決して、自分の考えや神学、教理を読み込んではいけない、と教えていただきました。
午後からは、石坂元長老によって、ものみの塔の組織が「聖書冊子協会」と名乗っていることに注目した発題がなされた。ものみの塔の組織を「定期刊行物を発行する出版社、新聞社」になぞらえ、興味深い分析をしてくださった。さらに、現在の日本のエホバの証人は、一人の人をバプテスマに導くのに2万時間以上を要している、これは世界中の平均の5倍である。最近の日本のエホバの証人たちがいかに苦しい立場に追い込まれているかを知ってもらいたいと言われました。
