外国からだったのか、それとも国内からなのかは分かりませんが、中澤先生はどこかからの帰り道。でもいつものようにとてもお元気で講壇に立たれると、いきなりガラテヤ人への手紙1章1節から「キリスト者の使命」というテーマでメッセージを取り次いでくださった。
キリスト者の使命とは、いかなる人間、あるいは人間組織に基づくものではなく、キリストとキリストをよみがえらせた父なる神から直接受けたものである。従ってキリスト者は、召してくださったキリストと神にその責任を負っている。これが基本である。とはいえ、そのようなキリスト者であっても、キリスト者共同体（教会）の理解と承認のもとに活動していかねばなりません。このことをパウロは、ガラテヤ人への手紙1章から2章の記述において明らかにしていると解説してくださいました。深くうなずきながらそれぞれが与えられている賜物についてあらためて考えさせられました。一人ひとりが与えられている分を神様に充分に用いていただけるように祈り歩む大切さを心に刻みました。
今日のクラスには、長年エホバの証人だったご夫妻や、ものみの塔の信仰のゆえに多くの苦しみを経験された主婦、さらにエホバの証人をご家族にもつ方々が大勢参加されました。それで礼拝後の午前のクラスでは、そのような方々お一人お一人がご自分の歩んで来られた道を分かち合ってくださいました。皆さんのお証をお聞きしながら、改めてエホバの証人問題の深刻さを認識させられた時でした。
午後のクラスでは、M兄が使徒の働きの記録と新約聖書の執筆年代との関係を結びつけながら読むべきことを話してくださった。
その後石坂元長老が、エホバの証人の信仰は、エホバ神、サタン、そして組織に対する恐れが基盤になっている。カルトというのは、恐怖心がキーワードであると話してくださいました。
その後の質疑応答においては、巡回監督や地域監督の働きや問題点、エホバの証人たちが罪を犯した場合に開かれる審理委員会の実態などについてお話しくださった。クラス出席者たち一同は、今日も、ものみの塔の信仰がもたらす被害について深く考えやり切れない気持になりました。
